Clan Wyrmsmasher is a clan of dwarves in the southern Cauldron Mountains, subjugated to the nation of Sasserine. The clan's strongholds include:
The clan is mostly self-sufficient and self-governing, with tribute paid to Sasserine. Sasserine controls a garrison in each community.
The clan is well-known for its production of gems, precious metals, and dwarven defenders.
An undercurrent of discontent has been broiling for years, but no aggressive action has been made by the dwarves.
The clan is extremely lawful, and has a number of community laws banning such things as drunkenness, lewdness, and the practice of wizardry. Indeed, wizardry is verboten and all dwarves who practice it are declared anathema and cast out from the community.
