Life and Society

The elves of Elvareen live as many elves throughout the world do. Individualism permeates their lives and most elves strive for self-sufficiency. Coupled with their long life spans, each individual sees to his or her own basic needs. This can be very basic, where an elf will produce the food needed for his or her survival, or it can be a little more advanced where if an elf wants to build a house, he or she will learn the ways of architecture, carpentry, and environmental effects, design the house, gather the materials, and build the house. It matters not to the elves of Elvareen that specialization could lead to a more efficient population. Individualism and self-sufficiency are the rules of the day.
