Fagan von Feld's First Impressions

The group of folks I met are all quite odd in their own right. First there is Lars, the somewhat flamboyant gnome. I like Lars, he's always joking around, trying to keep the atmosphere light, even in the face of death. I'm not always comfortable, however, with some of his remarks, but I'm an easy going guy, I can always appreciate a good laugh.

Then there are the two dwarves. As far as fighting goes, they have proven themselves capable allies. The one known as "bisquick" is a furious fighter and puts me to task when it comes to combat. The other, Illmyr, is both excellent at healing and fighting. Bisquick's lack of memory is a bit troubling, though I do suppose it makes it easier for him to face the danger we face in this shadowy world. Illmyr seems somewhat tight lipped about his past, though I'm not sure why.

But even he will converse more than the two elves. One seems terribly skittish though his healing powers are almost as good as Illmyr's, and his ability to call animals is impressive. He did mention his name was Mazer, but not more than that, other than that we were all doomed in this shadow world. I think he needs to look on the bright side of things: at least, whatever happened, we still seem to have some form of our past life. If I'm doomed to make my life in this shadow realm, then so be it.

The other elf is even more quiet. I don't even remember him giving us his name. He seemed to deflect attention away from himself, though he was quite good at sneaking around and using his bow.

The loud mouthed human was perhaps the most annoying. He seemed a bit shady when he talked, and I'm not sure I can really trust him. Most of the time we fought he was running way and hiding behind things. The other human was simply difficult to understand. He seemed to fight with finesse rather than strength. While I can appreciate his approach, I think I prefer my style of swinging as hard as I possibly can and hoping that's enough. Seemed to work well enough. Those overgrown bugs took more than one chop to bring down though. Maybe I'm just not strong enough yet.
