Shen Hai is the artisan potter of the Kame-Rettou Islands. His works are one of the commodities that are traded beyond the islands. He also entertains and educates the youth in the trade; in his words "Creation is good for the imagination, learning to create, is learning to observe, observation is the most important task any of us can master." His wife, Shen Lijuan is the local calligrapher, and his daughter, Keiko, has been playing ocarinas that Hai crafted for her since childhood. He is a close friend to Fei-Hong Jun.
