Keiko is the daughter of Shen Hai, the village potter, and Shen Lijuan, the village calligrapher. She is the life-long friend and fiancée of Fei-Hong Lei, they have been inseparable from childhood, and due to the closeness of their families where betrothed to marry upon Keiko’s birth. She is a talented musician and has a collection of clay ocarinas made for her by her father.
