Flight to the Safehouse
Amelia lead the party the secondary safehouse where the party met Sorsha Dalamont, who claimed to lead the Order of Libertas with Whisperwind missing and presumed dead. Sorsha Dalamont chastised the party for leading the Jasidin Purple Guards to the headquarters and sent out her companions to make certain that the party was not followed to the safehouse. After discussing what happened at the headquarters, Sorsha seemed very interested in recruiting the party to work for the Order of Libertas.
After spending the night at the safehouse, Taliesin received a sending from Mekor, "I see that you have since protected yourself against my divinations. Your death is inevitable if you do not turn the baby over to Mekor Laboratory."
The party decided to stay holed up in the safehouse for another day. While the party argued to decide what step to take next (that is, not dealing with Mekor vs dealing with Mekor), Mikeal visited with Jimi Tripod to discuss future criminal plans for the city.
Encounter with Mekor
At night on March 16, 1332, Tristram escorted the party into the Arcane District where they quickly made their way to Mekor Laboratory. The party quickly took care of the guard at the lab and rushed into the main chamber where Mekor awaited them. Mekor, slightly stunned that such a group would actually attack him, taunted the party until they were successful in applying the Mageblight Poison to them. Finally under threat, Mekor instructed his constructs to attack and used globes from his Necklace of Fireballs against the party. A fight ensued, from which the party barely scrapped out a victory.

Suffering from Mageblight Poison, Mekor commands his animated objects to attack and assaults the party with globes of fire. |
As the final blows were made against Mekor, another man wearing the trappings of the Order of Night's Breath entered the room, slowly clapping. He introduced himself as Zacharai and expressed his gratitude for the party dealing with a rogue member of the Order of Night's Breath who was abusing Order resources. He complimented the party's ingenuity for being able to deal with such a superior threat. Zacharai offered the party an invitation to work for the Order of Night's Breath in the future.
A journal entry was found on the body of Mekor which proved that he was abusing Order of Night's Breath resources.
I have divined my own demise. A group of soon-to-be-born babies is responsible for my eventual downfall. I will kill the babies before they have a chance to grow old enough to threaten me. I will risk using Order resources and authority to complete the deeds. I know that my superiors often scry on me, but I hope they will understand this unauthorized use of resources.
To the Tomb of Anastasia
The party rested for a day, identifying and selling looted items. Tristram met with Alex Danver to get information on the tomb that they spoke of before. Tristram convinced Alex that the members of the party would be good enough and that there was no need to hire mercenaries from the Falcon Company.
